OK, that's not quite flooring, but Mickey finished the handrail on the stairs to the loft!
Now, back to the flooring.
He started in the middle (the hallway).
His pre-sorting of the lumber into many piles helped him decide what pieces to use where.
Gerard was more excited about finding his food dish than the fact that the hallway floor was completed!!
On to the kitchen...
His handy-dandy tool made hammering the nails quite easy.
Then a nail punch and a hammer to finish up.

The new table saw did a great job cutting!
Hallway and kitchen finished, on to the great room!
After the floor was installed, Mickey and my dad stained the floor. We love the way the dark walnut turned out! A couple days later, Mickey applied one coat of wax. Another will follow once we're done with all this building nonsense.
Really and truly, the floor is done. Huzzah! (However, I have not yet successfully convinced Mickey that it is perfect for dancing!)
