January Thaw

As much as we love winter, we anticipate, enjoy, and make the most of the January thaw!

We were hanging out the loft window, enjoying the view and the fresh air, when it occurred to me that our yard has actual green grass growing in it!  Much different than last year, not to mention the year before!

...speaking of enjoying the view.

We took advantage of the thaw to transplant an outhouse.

It actually wasn't so hard as you might think to safely tip an outhouse! One of us didn't expect much difficulty with the safe tipping process -- kept saying something about "laws of physics" -- but one of us didn't believe him until she saw it in action. (For the record, yes, he was right.)

With my newfound confidence in physics, tipping it back up was even easier and quicker!

We're back to winter now, but we surely enjoyed the promise of spring!

    1. Hmm, I don't remember checking, but we didn't hear any screaming or see (or smell) any mess......
