A Home for a Bunny (or Two)

Sam and Rosie moved into their new home this week! Mick built a pen for them, four feet tall and I think the sides are 4' x 5'. The bottom of the pen is vinyl-coated rather than welded wire, so it is easier on their feet (and more rust-resistant.)

They have pushed their recycling-container shelter all over the place, but sadly have trouble climbing on top of it like they want to. (The cardboard behind is to give them a bit more shelter in case a stray dog wanted to bark at them.) They have much more room to run around than they did before, and they are taking full advantage of it! They were a bit nervous at first but have really settled into their new home and seem to be having a ball.

Meanwhile, I thought these two geese found a great way to keep cool! :)

The chestnut trees we planted earlier this summer are looking good! You can still see part of the nut at the base of the trunk.

I wondered why Mick wanted to buy more raspberries last year - we have so many in the woods already! This Prelude Raspberry lived up to its name and started producing at least a couple of weeks before any of the other plants. Well worth it!

Also, Mick pointed out that we are ready for the zombie apocalypse.

Bring it on!
