Spring came for real this weekend! Probably not quite permanently, but it's certainly a promising trend!
Spring means lots of puddles for birds to play in!
(while of course keeping a watchful eye for any intruders.)
The hens prefer scratching to bathing.
I think they especially like not-snow.
...which is why they have befriended Gretta, our gilt.
Chickens and pigs...quite the homestead pair!
Meanwhile, the crayfish hunt for worms. ("hunt" = Mickey puts the worms in the tank, and the crayfish generally have a difficult time finding them unless he pushes them right over to them)
But all three of our crayfish are great with egg! and still make pretty good time on their aquarium laps. :)
